Went here as a teen with my dad. Haven't been here in years. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful place to camp. No water or electric hook ups.
Cool little spot to camp if you’re on the ozark trail. No running water that i saw, but this lake is fed by a spring. the bathroom i used was a fenced area with a hole in the ground....pretty gross, but i guess i didn’t have to dig a hole... btw the raccoons here are bastards. While i was watching the campfire a raccoon stole my food bag and i had to go hungry for the rest of my hike.
I drove in at night and took the first spot available. Right next to the lake it was quite beautiful to wake up and see the fog and the lake right outside of my tent.
Friendly folks camping nearby, I was just here for a quick place to crash before kayaking the Eleven Point River (used Richards Canoe as a shuttle). Over Labor Day weekend, was glad to have a spot!
Camping and hiking was awesome. Also got to rock climb and rappel here. That too was an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back.
Didn't see restroom facilities of any kind, there may have been some but they weren't obvious; most campers won't care but worth knowing.
